Our group consists of St. Andrew’s ladies, friends or really anyone who is interested in coming. We average 23 to 25 and sometimes more.
It’s a morning of Outreach work with conversation, socialization, fellowship, support, fun, new friendships, projects. We are a very happy, busy group of dedicated volunteers who donate our finished knitted, crocheted or sewn projects…hats, scarves, mittens, blankets, toys, etc. to those in need. Giving Hands at St. Andrew’s donate these items to Interval House, Neighbour to Neighbour, Wesley Centre, Dream Centre sometimes schools or a family in need. Some of our Giving Hands ladies voluntarily make Prayer Shawls. These Prayer Shawls are at times, given out to someone ill in hospital or home, those grieving or celebrating a happy occasion.
For more information you can contact Val Lowrey through the church office. Val started this group about 20 years ago as a retirement project and it’s been active ever since.
